11-23-2025 - Good Morning! It's Sunday, and I hope you got enough mail yesterday to last you through today. The Dealer Ad Exchange HQ did not. It was a rather slow mail day. I might be forced to watch NFL football. Right now, I have Morse code on the 40-meter Amateur (ham) Radio band running in the background. Morse code and Mail Order kind of go together, both being effective, reliable, "old school" methods. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

--- According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the October payroll data will be released with the full report for November. Unemployment data for the month of October will not be included because those data were not collected due to the government shutdown.

--- Over the years, watching TV, I have decided that just because a local company can make its own TV commercial doesn't mean it should. The same goes for Mail Order Dealers. It's okay, and sometimes highly advisable, to get a professional to design your sales material.

--- There are several big data centers in the works for the area around the Dealer Ad Exchange HQ. Construction has not yet begun, but I’m worried about commercial power interruptions that I’ve heard they might bring with them. I do have a trusty Briggs & Stratton generator to keep the office up and running. How about you? Data centers aren’t the only thing that can leave you without power.

--- Looking at a few postal worker forums, I see that staffing is a common complaint. Poor management, leading to resignations and early retirements, is often cited as the cause. Isn't this an issue at many, if not most, large organizations? But wait, now we have Mail Order Dealers selling counterfeit stamps, trying to put the Post Office out of business. Isn't that like biting the hand that feeds you?

+++ This is still the land of opportunity. Where else could you earn enough to pay the interest on what you owe?

11-22-2025 - Good Morning! It's Saturday. I read a story this morning about the author's opinion that many stores are lying to you regarding those "Black Friday" price markdowns. The author says stores show a “list price”, mark through that price, and show a lower price for the sale. The problem, according to the author, is that the store was never charging the list price in the first place, but a lower price. I'm not concerned with this because I have never done the Black Friday thing. I'm mailing out a few more "site announcement" ad orders today. What will you do to promote your business today? My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready!

--- Some headline snippets seen this morning: Middle Class Buckling, Everything More Expensive, Shoppers Scaling Back, Farmers Frustrated, Beef Prices Higher, Consumer Sentiment Lowest, Crypto Worst Month.

+++ The noblest of all animals is the dog, and the noblest of all dogs is the hotdog. It feeds the hand that bites it.

--- Do you remember when WebTV came out several decades ago? At the time, I was a subscriber to an email list about online marketing. I remember posts from web page designers fretting about making sure the websites they designed for customers could be viewed properly on WebTV. I thought this was backward thinking. Since there were relatively few services like WebTV, but many website designers, maybe these website designers should force these services to adhere to a single protocol instead of making the masses jump through these design hoops. I'm not a website designer, so maybe my thinking was backward.

--- Today, I received a checking copy of the Aloha 10,000 Adsheet, containing my 2-inch site announcement ad, published by Akiko Frazier. I also received an offer for some type of program. The sales letter instructed me to go to a website, enter my email address and phone number, and I would be taken to the page with the information. The letter also said to enter a 3-digit code, but the code was not included. Right way, I knew I wasn’t giving anyone that information, but I was curious about the code. So, I went to the website and BOOM, my Bitdefender threw up an "online threat detected" warning. I'm running a scan now just to be on the safe side. This is one reason I don't allow websites in ads on my Mail Dealer Ads PDF file. I don't want to have any part in this happening to others. You can call or email an advertiser for any website info, then it's on them! Of course, I can't imagine anyone doing anything online without some form of security program.
