11-29-2025 - Good Morning! It's Saturday. A large batch of mail arrived here at the Dealer Ad Exchange HQ yesterday. I hope your mailbox was filled with goodies. I'm still waiting on the first ad submission for the Dealer Ad Exchange program. Let's see what the day brings. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

--- There was a locally-owned chain of convenience stores in my town that is now defunct. But in their heyday, they seemed to be magnets for armed robbery. On one occasion, a robber simply took the cash register, no questions asked. A few months later, at the same location, and noticing that the cash register was now bolted to the counter, the robber, possibly the same guy, used a chainsaw to cut the register from the counter. Either the robber or the employees, or both, should have tried Extra Income Mail Order for a less-stressful life.

--- I was looking at a long list of things "boomers" still do that millennials don't. A few items involved direct mail, such as paying bills by mail and mailing postcards. The article said that some millennials didn't even know where postage stamps came from. The stork, maybe?

--- According to multiple sources, credit card debit in the U.S. rose to $1.233 in the third quarter of 2025. This is an increase from $1.209 trillion in the previous quarter. Perhaps more people could use a source of additional income.

--- Today, I received checking copies of the Independent Business Marketer adsheet, published by Ken Freerksen, and the SunState Mailer adsheet, published by James L. Jones. I also received a complimentary copy of Small Potatoes Magazine, published by Ken & Julie Wegscheid. I need to send another ad to Small Potatoes Magazine!

11-28-2028 - Good Morning! It's Black Friday for those of you who engage in that activity. I usually don't leave the house. Maybe the Extra Income Mail Order industry will develop a Black Friday. You know, any order postmarked on Black Friday gets a discount or some other prize. This reminds me of the sales circulars I receive with the "If you order within 10 days" line. You know they'll probably cough up whatever it is, no matter when you mail it. My coffee is ready.

--- I received a phishing email saying my Prime account had been disabled and I needed to verify some information. The email address had "qrngbffksrvqnkr" before the @ symbol. I wonder why that didn't go straight to my spam folder.

--- I just heard someone on the CB Radio say that gas station pizza was his Thanksgiving meal. Poor guy. Or, maybe he's lucky. I don't know. Yes, I tune in to the CB Radio several times throughout the day. Most of my radioing consists of Morse code on the Amateur (ham) Radio bands.

--- How much traffic does this site get? I have no idea because I don't check "stats". I don't check it because it won't change anything. I write what I write, and I advertise where I advertise. The number of places I advertise is growing each month. Plus, I mail out "site announcement" postcards regularly. I'm not going to change what I do, so checking stats is meaningless. You're here! That's all that matters. I'll find something else to worry about.

--- According to a story on the Federal News Network website, some Republican lawmakers want to halt the replacement of gas-powered vehicles with electric ones. They want to sell off electric vehicles already purchased and strip funding for future purchases. Others say to do so would be a waste of money already spent. Let’s see where this goes.

--- According to the USPS website, Ralph Lauren will be releasing a limited three-piece clothing collection in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the U.S Postal Service. Quoting the article: The Polo Ralph Lauren USPS collection’s double-breasted wool twill coat ($1,298), leather satchel ($998), and mesh wool cap ($79.50) are inspired by letter carrier uniforms from different eras of USPS history.” I don’t think I’m going to do too much Ralph Lauren USPS honoring. I’ll just say “Happy Anniversary” and leave it at that. Well, I’ll probably buy some anniversary stamps.
